Every Inokim sold by Inokim South Africa is official stock, registered to your serial number and backed by a local 12-month warranty. No shipping scooters overseas for repairs.
What's covered — 12 months
Motor
Hub motor(s) against manufacturing defects and failure under normal use.
Battery
Lithium-ion pack and BMS against defects and abnormal capacity loss.
Controller & electronics
Controller, throttle, display, wiring and cables.
Frame & folding mechanism
Frame, stem and the patented folding mechanism.
Coverage runs for 12 months from purchase or the model's mileage cap — whichever comes first (OXO/OX models: 4,000 km · Light 2 Max / KIX: 1,600 km).
What's not covered
- Normal wear items: tires, tubes, brake pads, grips and cables.
- Water damage, crash damage, misuse or off-road abuse.
- Commercial or delivery-fleet use, and competitive riding.
- Unauthorised modifications, repairs or firmware changes.
Battery care — make it last
Charge between 20–80%
For daily riding, avoid running to 0% or leaving it at 100% for days. Full charges are for long trips.
Store at half charge
Not riding for a few weeks? Store the scooter around 50–60% and top up monthly.
Keep it temperate
Don't charge below 0°C or leave the scooter in a hot car. Room temperature is ideal.
Use the original charger
Third-party chargers can damage the BMS and void your battery warranty.
